Registration Rules

Full payment is required at time of registration.
NEW – Cheques are no longer accepted as a form of payment. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Cash, and Debit.
Children must be 5 years old by June 1, 2010.
Children must meet the age requirement for a group by the first day of the camp in which they are registered.
5-7 & 8-10 year olds may attend only one week during session 1 and only one week during session 2.
11-13 & 14-17 year olds may attend only one week per summer.
Campers who require an aid at school are required to provide an aid to assist them at camp. The aid is admitted free of charge.
No refunds are given if a cancellation is received within 14 days of the first day of camp in which a camper is registered.

Other useful information for 5-7, 8-10, and 11-13 year old groups

After registering, an information letter will be mailed to your home which includes details regarding arrival & departure times, what to bring, camp location, etc.
Camp programming operates from 9 am to 4:30 pm.
Early drop off begins at 8 am and pick up is from 4:30-5:30 pm. Supervised free time is available from 8-9 am and 4:30-5:30 pm.
A $30 fine will be issued in case of no justifiable reason for a pick up later than 5:30 pm.
All campers will receive a bucket style camp hat and are required to wear their camp hat during all outdoor activities for identification purposes and for protection from the sun.
Zero tolerance for physical violence - In the case of infractions, campers will be immediately dismissed from camp for the remainder of the summer and there will be no refund of camp fees.

Other useful information for the 14-17 year old group

All campers will receive a zoo hat, zoo t-shirt, and certificate suitable for framing.
Campers are required to provide their own steel toe boots and must be worn at all times while on Zoo property.
All campers must follow all safety rules and regulations as set by the Animal Care Staff of the Magnetic Hill Zoo. Failure to comply with these rules and regulations causing potential endangerment to themselves, other Magnetic Hill Zoo Staff, the general public, and the animals will result in immediate removal from the Program without refund.
A parent or guardian must sign a “Waiver & Release” form, as well as a “Safety Consent Form.”
